The second pair of graphs is about PPG swing in Premier League teams. I was curious as to how well the 2013/14 Liverpool were doing in comparison to the 2012/13 vintage – so thought I’d contextualise them both in terms of the PPG swing between the two. It seemed only fair to rank them in terms of all Premier League teams, so I’ve done that.

There was an unexpected flip side to this graph, too, in the negative swing. See, I knew United had been bad, but that’s pretty epic. For two teams who didn’t have huge player turnover in the summer, that’s a hell of a difference between the two.

You may get more mini-posts as time goes on (there’s a bit of Roberto Martinez and Jordan Rhodes stuff that looks ripe for posting), so the drought may well be over.
