Another quick graph here pointing out that its not a huge surprise that David Moyes wasn’t given particularly long at Manchester United. Here we have the number of games overseen by all managers who finished 20+ season spells in the English leagues after World War II and the number their successors managed. Get above 1,000 and it all gets a bit hairy, clearly.

Again, very small samples sizes at work, but it tends to be two or three seasons below that mark, but after it – fewer than 100 games each. Swift.
